Gasp! An old buddy! “Hello there, Guy. I hope you’ve been well.”
“Hey Tear, it’s been a while. Keeping busy?” Guy smiled as he walked up to her, stopping a few feet away out of habit.
“Yeah, I have. How about you? Not getting into to much trouble, I hope.” He teased her. Tear was the last person Guy expected to get into any trouble, unless she had a good reason.
Nodding slowly, Tear let out a soft sigh.
“I’ve caught up with someone from my childhood recently. It… Was interesting.” Interesting in the sense that both roleplayers began crying like pussies.
“Other than that, I’ve just been in Daath a lot lately. Nothing too exciting. And yourself?”
From her childhood? Was it someone from Yulia City? Guy was curious, but he wasn’t going to be pushy. If she wanted to say more about it, she would have. “I haven’t been very busy. I’ve mostly been working with Noelle and Ginji on some new projects. And trying to avoid Grand Chokmah. When I’m there, I either walk Emperor Peony’s rappigs, or I’m forced to attend meetings and social gatherings.” He sighed.
“How’s the Order? Things still going alright without the Score?” It didn’t seem very long ago that they were trying to strop Van from creating a world of replicas. “Have you seen Luke recently?” He smiled, waiting for some sort of reaction.
“New projects?” She tilted her head just slightly to indicate curiosity. “What have you guys been doing? And if you need to go to Grand Chokmah, I could always walk the rappigs for you.” Nope. She was not going to indicate the fact that she really wanted to do that. NOPE.
And then Guy said the L-word and she took an arrow to the kokoro. Biting her lip, she shook her head.
“… No. No sign of him. I’d tell you and the others if there was. The Order so far is in repair, and although Scores are being read, we have a lot to do in terms of getting back on our feet after losing Ion and the God-Generals.”
“Well, we’ve actually started looking into personal transportation. Sort of like coaches, but without monsters pulling them.” He laughed a bit. “You’re too kind, but I wouldn’t subject a friend to that.”
His head hung low. “Sorry, I probably shouldn’t have said anything.” He wasn’t thinking. He knew it was a touchy subject. “I’m sure Ion is greatly missed. And even though the God-Generals weren’t the best people, they were still important to the order.” He sighed. Guy didn’t like thinking about the God-Generals. None of them should have had to die. But there was nothing that could be done now. “Hopefully the Order will get back on it’s feet someday.”
“Coaches without monsters? I don’t see how that could sound boring. It sounds more convenient than anything.”
“It’s alright, Guy.” She softened her face just a tad. “It will get back on its feet, but it will take some time. I know Anise has been hard at work as of late, which is probably why I haven’t seen her around. Due to the circumstances of our journey, people are very wary of the Order and the Score alike, so she’s trying to return faith back to the people.”

Once again, she attempted to yank him off. Time for some scolding.
“No biting! I don’t care how kind you are vocally, going up to people and gnawing on their faces is rude and I will not allow you to do it.”
Tipo let go and floated out of her reach to return her stern look with a stare.
“And what will smelly lady do to stop Tipo?”
Tear was never exactly the best at threatening cute things but gosh darnit if she isn’t going to try.
“I… I will tell your master.”

What was this peculiar creature? It was… So oddly cute. Smiling just a little with a tiny blush on her face, Tear just let the little thing sniff her hair a-
She then proceeded to attempt to yank the thing off her cranium.
Tipo observed for a moment how interested the woman looked before biting.
“This lady smells nice.”
Once again, she attempted to yank him off. Time for some scolding.

Relaxing into Judith, Tear shut her eyes. Alright, so she had a feeling Judith… Didn’t fully understand what she just said. She knew that the Krityan would have a much different reaction if she understood that she actually had to kill her brother. Keeping her eyes shut after Judith kissed her forehead, Tear curled up into a tight ball before continuing.
“… Judith. We had to kill him. We had to kill him and many, many other people died because of his dream and they didn’t even have to die.” She took a shaky breath. “They could have lived if I had just succeeded in killing him in the first place. Then everyone at Akzeriuth would still be alive, Major Legretta would still be here and Luke wouldn’t have had to…” Had to what? Curling up tighter, she shook her head.
“… I’m sorry. My hands are covered in blood.”
“I see none on your hands.”
She turned them over, rubbing a thumb into her palm. The crying had stopped, and Tear’s explanation made sense. She knew there was good reason, and that, that was a very good reason.
“You didn’t kill just to kill. You killed one to save many. And that, that is a honorable deed.
And the others who died? That’s not your fault. He set out to do something, and he was so bitterly determined that he had no regard for anyone who wanted to show him a better way. I don’t blame you.
No one blames you.”
Opening her eyes a little, Tear merely stared as Judith basically massaged her hands. She… Couldn’t argue with that, she guessed. Uncurling a little, Tear rested her head on Judith’s shoulder and proceeded to nuzzle into her neck, then cling onto her… Shirt… Bra… Uh. Let’s just say she clung to her waist because I’m getting weird mental images of Tear just kind of holding on to the fabric covering Judith’s boobs.
I don’t know.
“… I apologize, I got off track.”
tearsingingalonewith7thfonons:
Well, this did sting a bit. But she didn’t falter. Anger from citizens was part of the job.
“I’m not saying I have no emotion, Judith. I care for what I’m fighting for and I try to heal all I can. But if someone slips away, I can’t just sit there and feel awful and beat myself for what I couldn’t control.” Seeing Judith essentially have a BSOD did hurt her a lot on the inside, but dangit, she couldn’t find it within herself to cry. Not just yet.
Once glanced up at, Tear took the moment to sit next to Judith and bit her own lip after she took in her words. Hugging her shins, Tear rested her cheek on her knees and spoke after a pause.
“… We had to dispatch Van.”
Her hands were soaked.
Dispatch? Dispa—oh, no. Oh maker, oh no.
She was out of tears to cry, and out came this awful, awful sad sound. A groan, or a sigh, or a cry. You couldn’t tell. But her eyes had managed to re-wet themselves once again. There had to have been a good reason. Natural causes? Battle wounds? It had to be. Just a tragic accident…
Tear couldn’t have done such a thing. No, not her. It wasn’t her.
Regardless, she pulled the other into a hug, cooing softly into her ear. She wouldn’t ask for an explanation, not now.
“I’m so sorry, Tear, I’m so sorry.”
Pulling away the girl’s hair, she pecked her on the forehead and just…looked at her. Was this really the same girl? They certainly looked the same, but…
Relaxing into Judith, Tear shut her eyes.
“… Judith. We had tokillhim. tearsingingalonewith7thfonons:
Good one.
Tear took in a breath through her nose and let it out, rubbing at her arm.
“Judith.” They had a lot of catchin’ up to do. “After I left, I began my training as a soldier. When life is constantly diminishing around you, you get used to it. When you get used to it, it becomes normal. When it becomes normal, it almost seems out of place for me to be able to save everyone.” She took another breath, looking down.
“It’s not that I have nothing to say, it’s that I physically cannot say anything.”
Her hands balled into fists. As much as it made sense to her, she really couldn’t believe that the caring, gentle little girl she befriended had become so…so cold, and distant. Physically and emotionally.
She tried to choke back the tears, but instead they poured out faster. She tried to keep her voice down, but instead, it became angry.
“That’s no excuse! Soldiers…soldiers are designed to help people! They SHOULD be caring, and emotional! If you go into a battle blind, void of emotion, what will you have? Bloody hands and a blackened soul, that’s what you’ll have! It just…” Her voice lowered, quivering with every raspy breath she took in. “It doesn’t make sense.”
The girl reverted back to her childhood in an instant, carelessly falling to her knees and punching the ground. She knew it was immature, and incredibly unfair, but she couldn’t help it. This whole reunion had been unfair — to catch her while she was travelling, out of the blue, Judith wasn’t prepared for such a rush. The krytian glanced back up at Tear through her watery eyes, sputtering to save the moment.
“But you…you’re still different. I know you are. Your hands aren’t stained with blood, at least not blood taken in vain. You…you’re still bright, you still shine, Tear…I’m sorry. I’m so, so sorry.”
Well, this did sting a bit. But she didn’t falter. Anger from citizens was part of the job.
“I’m not saying I have no emotion, Judith. I care for what I’m fighting for and I try to heal all I can.
